Sarah Digness is one of our newest grant writers. She graduated in 2001 from CSU, Chico with a degree in English. Since receiving her credential in 2003, she has worked as an advocate for low-income, first-generation youth at a local non-profit, and as an award-winning high school English teacher. Her interest in proposal writing began in college with her first internship as a grant writer and then grew as she taught proposal writing at the high school level.
Sarah lives in Chico with her husband, Jamison, who is the director of a local land trust. Together they spend time volunteering in their community, working in their vegetable garden, and exploring Northern California's open lands.
Sarah is passionate about helping individuals reach their potential, and feels privileged to be able to participate in work that empowers underserved communities.
